Mission
To provide superior home care and to ensure the satisfaction of each customer we serve.
At Home, REA Home Care will be the home health care provider of choice for residents in the regions we serve. Our superior care will be delivered by well trained, dedicated professionals. These caregivers take pride in achieving the highest possible level of clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. Our services will continually be tailored to meet the needs of the communities we serve.
Description
Generally, home care is appropriate whenever a person prefers to stay at home but needs ongoing care that cannot easily or effectively be provided solely by family and friends.

A Home, Health Care Nurse works with patients in their homes. These nurses mainly work with the elderly, but sometimes work with younger children who have developmental or mobility issues. A Home Health Care Nurse is great for people that would rather work outside of a hospital.

More and more older people are electing to live independent, non-institutionalized lives, and are receiving home care services as their physical capabilities diminish. Younger adults who are disabled or recuperating from acute illness are choosing home care whenever possible.

Chronically ill infants and children are receiving sophisticated medical treatment in their loving and secure home environments. Adults and children diagnosed with terminal illness also are being cared for at home, receiving compassionate care and maintaining dignity at the end of life.

As hospital stays decrease, increasing numbers of patients need highly skilled services when they return home. Other patients are able to avoid institutionalization altogether, receiving safe and effective care in the comfort of their own homes.
Our nurses and management team are committed to working with clients and their families to develop service plans that meet their needs and financial status.

Our ability to provide a requested service(s) may be limited by the clients’ eligibility for services and/or the client’s medical needs as determined by his or her physician.

REA Home Care is fully registered by the Registrar General Department of the Republic of Ghana.

At Home, REA Home Care is committed to having a staff of caring professionals that are licensed, certified, bonded and highly trained. The staff works in coordination with a patient’s physicians to ensure the highest level of care possible.
At Home, REA Home Care is the trusted choice for a wide range of medical services that includes Skilled Nursing & Therapy, Home Support Services, Pediatric Home Care Nursing, Personal and Home Support, Foot Care, Corporate Wellness clinic and Community Care Programs.

 What We Do

AGFH educational programs were created in the belief that education should be available to all students. Our focus is in Kofisah, Awutu Bereku, Techiman District of Ghana, a district that has some of the poorest communities in Ghana and where many families struggle with the burden of paying school fees when faced with extreme poverty. Our goal is to provide scholarships and bursaries to students who without financial assistance would be unable to attend secondary school.

In order to make the most impact, AGFH  has built a strong community infrastructure so that we can reach those students most in need. Through the development of a working committee that includes local AGFH representatives, teachers, counsellors, and vice headmasters from each of the school in our areas of operation in the Brong Ahafo and Eastern Region of Ghana, we are able to ensure that the scholarships and bursaries are publicized in all schools within the catchment areas. Together, the committee reviews the applications received from students and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors in Ghana and other Director abroad.

We have developed three different programs for students in need of financial assistance.

 Students in Hardship

Our largest program targets up to 500 students facing financial hardships that may interfere with their ability to continue with their high school education. This includes students whose parents have difficulty paying for their school fees, uniforms, bus charges and school meals.

Gifted Students Entering Secondary School for the First time

We aim to provide  scholarships on a yearly basis to gifted students entering high school for the first time. This financial assistance program helps to reduce the stress that many parents face when enrolling their child in secondary school.

Continuing Students with Exemplary Academic Records

We aim to provide Scholarships on a yearly basis to students who excel in their second and third years of high school. This program targets students that are achieving success in their studies but cannot afford to continue their studies due to their financial situation.

Why Education?

In Ghana, as in virtually all African countries, education has proven the single best route out of poverty for the vast majority of the population. Education forms the critical foundation for access to decent-paying jobs in Ghana. Without education, children are virtually condemned to an adult life of intense poverty and drudgery, and have a significantly reduced ability to control the direction of their lives. Unfortunately in Ghana, the right to, and the opportunity for, education is not open to all. Many children are denied a secondary school education and the prospect for a brighter future simply on the basis of the needs and choices of their families. As a consequence of the poverty faced by the majority in Ghana, too many students cannot secure a full, basic education and are robbed of their potential not only to learn, but to excel.

By offering merit based scholastic scholarships and bursaries that are based on need; we are able to provide direct and material encouragement to students who without the assistance, would be actively thwarted by the material pressures they must overcome at the same time as they are trying to focus and deepen their understanding of their subjects and take their insights to new heights.

By funding their education we free them from the burden of school fees. Our programs help the students by funding the basic necessities of academic success:

  • School Fees
  • School Uniforms
  • Pens & Pencils
  • Three Meals per day
  • Transportation to and from school as needed
  • Instruction from properly qualified teachers and/or school tutors

We strongly believe that by directly funding the education of needy students we help them realize their hope of a full secondary education, and the bigger dream of achieving lifelong success through academic excellence! By eliminating the stress of securing funding for their high school enrollment, we give these students the opportunity to focus on their studies. The success of these programs lies in our on-going fundraising with individual donors and government programs.

In the interest of fair educational and academic excellence opportunity for all, and in solidarity with the Children within our catchment areas, Ghana who are seeking a better future for themselves, we hope that you will join us and Donate today!
